OHANA MEANS FAMILY
Frappzilla is a small company based down in the south west of England. We aren’t a big company but we are a teeny tiny family. With just Alex and Fee (soon-to-be-husband-and-wife-team) producing the dolls, there is an awful lot of work for just the two of them!
Frappzilla originally started in 2015, about 6 months after Alex and Fee met. Tired of being in a long distance relationship between Italy and England, they made a giant leap of faith, moving to France and later Spain using their wig making shop to make ends meet. It was a lot of hard work for many years until the past couple of years when they set their sights on dollmaking and while it still is a lot of hard work, its also incredibly rewarding.
The first range of dolls MSDs from the Dandelion Moon collection were first shown in the Summer of 2020 and while Covid has delayed their launches, a lovely collection of dolls and a beautiful Story primarily co-written by Fee and her best friend Gaz (The Lore guy) has been born. Lupi, Delphini, Alula, Polaris, Vega and Lyra, a unique line up of MSD sized dolls featuring unusual fantasy ears and jointing system.
After seeing the chaos of 2020 and the delays that many casters were experiencing, Fee and Alex just wanted to bring a little happiness to the people who had supported them for so many years. With so many people out of jobs and with very little income, bored after endless lockdowns and with recasts on the rise in the BJD community, they just wanted to find a solution that might fix some of these troubles. With the help of Chelsea from Quirky Qritters, who has not only joined the Frappzilla team as the technical genius and creative whirlwind that she is but virtually became a part of their tiny family. This little dream has become something so much bigger than they ever expected, with blooms sprouting up in every corner of the world. Chelsea even has her own line of hats and pets within the Bloomisphere now too!
Mama Frapp is also a member of the team, making the teeny tiny resin eyes for alll the blooms, seedlings and pets. She does all the paperwork that Fee isn’t very good at doing!
A huge special thank you to Gene, Jay and Viv who help with the day-to-day running of the discord community and have become dear friends in the process.
ALEX
The printer of blooms. The eater of foods. Lover of bald men. The sleep texter and meme lord of discord. Alex is responsible for all of the printing, processing and curing of your blooms each month! He gets easily hangry and gets egged by bee munchers regularly whilst spilling tea that he should not. The true king of spoilers.
FEE
The Bloom Overlord, resident crybaby and overly excitable gremlin. Fee does a lot of the designing of blooms with Chelsea and creates all of the bloomling faces. She also works very closely with Confetti, organising orders to go out to bee munchers over the world. Gets easily distracted and drinks too much tea. Fee handles social media, website, customer service and is always behind the camera (but never in front of it)
MELLY & ROSA

CHELSEA
Lover of breathing eggs, creative cryptid who seems to know a whole lot about virtually everything. Chelsea helps the ideas come to life and is responsible for all the fancy jointing and things of a technical nature. She does concept work as well, turning fee’s absolute jibberish into something tangible and slightly more sensical. Mad Hatter and pet creator extraordinare.
MAMA FRAPP & STEP-PAPA FRAPP
Mama Frapp, emotional support mother hen, tea maker and paperwork princess. Helps Fee and Alex when they can’t function. Makes a bajillion tiny eyes for all the babies. Step-papa Frapp helps with all the elastic, magnets and wig kit packaging whilst trying to put up with everyone elses chaos.
THE MODS

A series of Youtube videos are being posted, showing you how to make you own wigs, string each doll that gets released and studio vlogs will begin soon too! We hope you’ll join us there too.
Dandelion Bloom is a monthly BJD kit. They are 3D printed and made for people to finish up at home. With a bit of light sanding work, assembling the blooms and painting them, you can own a unique BJD for a small portion of the price of traditionally cast dolls! Bloom Day varies each month but usually involves at least 2 designs of bloom or seedling with often optional parts or small friends to accompany them! You can also collect stickers, pins and charms of each of the characters too! They do sell out quickly so you need to be there for launch so that you don’t miss out!
